We are about four weeks out from the release of our ‘demo’ issue of The Arkham Gazette and I wanted to give our readers an update about how work proceeds on our first regular issue (i.e. #1, the Arkham issue).
The news is very good. We’ve had a healthy number of submissions as well as a few article proposals sent in, bringing us up to over 10k words of text already. With our demo issue being about 20k, this means…
A) We will almost certainly have enough for a second issue.
B) I am going to close out submissions for issue 1 at the end of September with the goal of releasing the issue by October 31 (aka Halloween).
C) Once that issue is wrapped up I’ll open a poll for what the topic of issue 2 shall be.
If you are still on the fence about making a submission, there is still plenty of room for you in the Gazette. If you have and idea that doesn’t quite fit into ‘Arkham’ as a topic, there are always future issues!
The one thing I’ve not yet been sent is any artwork. I’ve had the offer of some maps, but no art yet… sniff.
Keep the submissions coming folks! They’ve been wonderful so far.
